Katie Torn Solo exhibition at RMCAD 2017
NYC based artist Katie Torn’s solo exhibition “An Ocean Without Water,” presented over the summer of 2017 at the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design, was the first of its kind in the city of Denver to focus exclusively on the work of a contemporary digital animator. Torn’s 2014 Denver Digerati LED screen commission “Breathe Deeply” was featured as a focal work of the exhibition.

SUPERNOVA 2017 encore for DFF40 2017
Denver Digerati was invited to support numerous community forums with SUPERNOVA related works or with use of the LED and public locations towards the display of art and digital animation. Two full programs of SUPERNOVA related animations were presented at the McNichols Civic Center for the Denver Film Society's anneX in conjunction with the 40th Denver Film Festival in November, introducing our work to a new audience associated with film.

Reel Social Club Shorts Fest 2017
Denver Digerati was invited to support numerous community forums with SUPERNOVA related works or with use of the LED and public locations towards the display of art and digital animation. A ninety minute compilation of works from SUPERNOVA 2016 was presented as part of the Denver Film Society’s Reel Social Club Shorts Fest in May, the first time our work had been projected onto a screen in a movie theatre in Denver instead of on LED in public.

Denver Design Week 2017
Denver Design Week is spearheaded by William Logan with his publication Modern In Denver as the lead sponsor. The summer issue of MID featured an eight page article focused exclusively on Digital Animation as a new medium in contemporary art, with a full page dedicated to SUPERNOVA Digital Animation Festival. Denver Digerati presented samples from SUPERNOVA at the DDW Launch Party July 15th at Stanley Marketplace. Festival Director Ivar Zeile gave a formal presentation on Digital Animation at the DDW education forum on July 17th.

MCA Denver "Three Things" inaugural program 2017
Denver Digerati was invited to support numerous community forums with SUPERNOVA related works or with use of the LED and public locations towards the display of art and digital animation. Two digital shorts by Jeremy Couillard were presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver’s inaugural “3 Things” series, in advance of Couillard's solo artist spotlight for SUPERNOVA 2017.


Month of Photography Celebration 2017
Denver Digerati was invited to support numerous community forums with SUPERNOVA related works or with use of the LED and public locations towards the display of art and digital animation. Several stills chosen by the Colorado Photographic Arts Center were presented throughout the month of March on the District’s LEDs in celebration of the biannual Month of Photography.

UNDERSTUDY project space 2017
Denver Digerati was invited to support numerous community forums with SUPERNOVA related works or with use of the LED and public locations towards the display of art and digital animation.The Denver Theatre District’s exciting new art project space UNDERSTUDY debuted in September, with Digerati presenting samples from the upcoming SUPERNOVA for two weeks as the first use of the space.
